The Hudson Table hosted our cooking school tonight. There was only one other couple in the class so it was almost like a private event.
Lead chef Pablo Nealon
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Chef Pablo found his love for cooking when he was a kid. However he started his career by obtaining his Architecture degree and moving to New York City, where he spent 12 years in architecture before deciding to follow his true passion and enter the culinary world. He worked in restaurants throughout NYC, then moved to Colorado where he worked in resorts for several years in various leadership positions. Now back on the east coast, Chef Pablo has joined the team at Hudson Table, where he brings his culinary experience to share with guests at hands-on classes, Chef competitions, as well as his own interpretation of South and North American Cuisines to his Chef Tables and private events.
Demonstrating knife skills
The other two in the class were Terence and Laquesha. They were a great couple to work with and we really enjoyed sitting at the table dining with them.
Working on the corn and bacon chowder
Tossing the salad
The menu:
Cape Cod arugula salad with green apples, cucumber, walnuts, cranberries and an orange vinaigrette dressing
Corn and Bacon Chowder
Salt Baked & Smashed Herby Fingerling Potatoes
Crab Cakes with Old Bay Remoulade
Apple Cider Donuts with Blueberry and Port Wine Jam
It was a delightful evening but I doubt that I will make these recipes again.
